Dr. P. Hemalatha Devi (b. 1947), after obtaining her Post graduate Degree in Public Administration obtained LL.B. followed by M.Phil. (1979) and Ph.D. (1988) Degrees from the Osmania University, Hyderabad. She served as a senior Lecturer in B.J.R. Govt. Degree College, Hyderabad, for about two decades.she has her multi-disciplinary research areas ranging from educational and social administration to administrative law. She made an intensive study into functioning of secondary education in Panchayat Raj system. her concern for Women in Law led her to make an elaborate probe into professional and sociological problems of lawers and judges among women for her post-doctoral research. Closely associated with UGC programmes and schemes, she take keen interest in academic and social projects. Besides being a life member of IIPA, New Delhi, ASRC, Hyderabad, Indian Public Administrative Association, she is popular in academic circles and active in research pursuits.
