About the Book
The aim of this work is to inquire into the problem of divergent moral standards applicable to persons who are part of society and law. The writing involves many facets of sexuality and morality. This book is an endeavour of my research work submitted for the award of Ph.D. During that time, since then there have been a number of developments in the field of alternative sexuality and constitutional morality; all are reflected in this book. And so, as the book began taking shape, I realized that I could not write preachy stuff. Enough of that is available in any case. I have preferred to raise some ethical questions in the context of the changing profession. The idea is to provoke discussion and debate. This book has developed in fits and starts. About half of it has been substantially reworked from portions of several predecessors’ articles. This book aimed to discuss the realistic portrayal of alternative sexuality including gay life style, rights for the sexual minority groups, their duty and status in the society, equality and dignity before the law, constitutional morality and some other gay issues which are not at the forefront, or even on the margins of public, social or political discourse, and where there is no vibrant and cohesive gay activism as is evident in the developing countries of the world.
Sexual fulfilment is now regarded, not as a suspect indulgence, but as a well-spring of happiness and mental health. With the above perspective the present book discussing the different aspects of constitutional law, sexuality and morality related with alternative sexualities.
