His teaching career began from Himachal Pradesh and at present he is serving in the Dept. of Economic Administration and Financial Management at Government (Autonomous) College, Ajmer (Rajasthan). Dr. Mathur has to his credit 14 Research Projects sponsored by the various national agencies/ organisations. He is a prolific writer and has to his credit 12 books on various aspects of economics. He has contributed several research papers in the leading journals. A guide to many successful research scholars he has also contributed many papers to the conferences/seminars organised by academic and professional organisations in India and abroad.
