This Book entitled “Human Resource Management and Development in the Digital Age- Some Sector Specific Perspectives covers altogether 22 select chapters from national and international scholars from the gamut of HR in the digital age. Each chapter provides a unique dimension on the aspect of human resource in the digital age. From a people management perspective, new technologies have provided a multitude of new ways for HR to communicate and engage with the workforce and new ways to gather feedback and track progress of engagement strategies and other initiatives. The book is expected to cater to the much needed requirements of students, researchers, academicians, practitioners and experts from the domain of HR and related areas to trigger new insights and ideas.

Abhigyan Bhattacharjee (b. 1978), has done his M.Com., B.Ed.., Ph.D (Gauhati University) has more than 14 years of teaching and research experience. Presently he is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Management, NEHU Tura Campus with additional charge of the Placement Cell of NEHU, Tura Campus. Prior to this, he held the post of Assistant Professor (Sr) at the Department of Commerce, Assam University, Diphu Campus. He also worked at ICFAI University, Mizoram as a management faculty. He has been the recipient of ICSSR Fellowship (N.E. Region) for PhD in 2007. He has to his credit publications of more than 30 research papers in various journals of national and international repute. He has also presented various research papers in Regional, National and International seminars/conferences. His articles include from the subject domain of Marketing, Economics, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management etc. He has also authored research books and penned edited book volumes.
