Sushma Batra has done her doctorate from the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi. She joined the Department, her alma mater in 1982 as a lecturer. At present she is a professor in the same department. She has published four books. She also has to her credit more than 25 articles published in leading National and International journals. She has been an academician of repute who has contributed widely to the profession by being an excellent teacher as well as a researcher who has been teaching Research Methodology to post graduate, M.Phil and Ph.D students for more than two decades. The interest in the field of adolescence is of recent origin after she undertook the responsibility of being an honorary director at the Centre for Adolescents and Well Being, a demonstration project of the outcome of the empirically handled research project undertaken by her from R&D division of University of Delhi. Praseetha Unnikrishnan has done her doctorate from the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi in the year 2009. Presently she is working as a Consultant with IGNOU. She is a young, enthusiastic and budding researcher who has an aptitude for research. Her keen interest in the field of research has led to the present work which was the outcome of an empirically handled research project undertaken by Prof. Sushma Batra at the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi.
