Dr. Papia Deb (b.1970) is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science of Maynaguri College, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. She has a teaching experience of about 25 years. She has to her credit a huge number of publications in both National (including UGC Care Listed Journals) and International Journals and chapters in edited books. She has edited one book published in 2016. She has contributed a large number of papers in many national and international seminars. Apart from that she is also a Programme Officer of National Service Scheme (NSS) and thus associated with the social service activities at the grass-root level of the society.
