Ananta Pegu (b.1982), obtained his Masters in Economics from Pune University in 2004. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree by Assam University in 2014 for his doctoral thesis entitled “Role of NGOs in Economic Development: A Case Study of Majuli.” Dr. Pegu has worked as an Assistant Professor in Economics in N C College, Badarpur for 10 years and is now working at K C Das Commerce College, Chatribari, Guwahati, Assam. He has authored the book entitled NGOs and Economic Development: Meeting Pre-conditions for Take-Off published by A Mittal Publication, New Delhi, India and contributed a number of research papers in edited books, National and International Journals and has presented papers in various Seminars.

Pulak Mili (b.1986) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, L C Bharali College, Maligaon, Guwahati. Earlier, he was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Karimganj College, Karimganj for 6 years. He has experience as an Associate Editor in the Department of Social Science of UGC approved journal Pratidhani the Echo (www.thecho.in) and Associate Editor in the Department of Social Science in International Research Journal of Humanities and Social Science (www.irjhss.com). He has co-edited the book entitled Development Strategies: Issues and Challenges in North-East India published by Scholar Publications, Assam.
