This book synthesizes official statistics and data collected from field work to study the use of public health services by mothers and children in the rural areas of Churachandpur district of Manipur. It highlights both demographic and non-demographic factors (such as transport, law and order, etc.) that constrain access to health services provided by the State through Primary Health Centres and Sub-centres.
The book will be useful to demographers, human geographers and public policy makers for better understanding the problems and constraints of primary health care services in rural areas of Manipur.
