Although there is dearth of elegant books on 'Mass Spectrometry' at the undergraduate and postgraduate students, yet there are few books written in a form which focus attention on all the important aspects of Mass Spectrometry that hold the interest of inquisitve students. Every topic included in this book is self-sufficient and has been profusely illustrated. Each topic has been written in a clear and explanatory style to provide both straight forward concepts and invaluable background information. This approach, combined with an extensive cross referencing system, enables the reader to provide both straight-forward concepts in valuable background information and enables the reader to place each chapter into a broader scientific context. The chapters have been arranged in a conventional way, as it may prove good for students to pass from one to another with good continuity.
