The physiographic framework is superb. The pollution, deforestation, degradation of the soil and natural catastrophies are creation ecological imbalance. If not checked now this would bring misery and suffering and affect the tourist trade of the State. A humble attempt has been made to offer a collection of papers dealing with various aspects of ecology and environment. An attempt has been made by scholars and experts to suggest measures for the cleanliness of the Dal, afforestation of the catchment areas to prevent inflow of nutrients and soil into the lakes, and steps to be taken to improve the sanitation, reforestation, soil conservation and to prevent the natural catastrophies.
