This book titled “Forest and livelihood Diversification in Coastal Odisha” makes an attempt to discuss the livelihood diversification in Coastal communities depending upon natural resources. The study based on both primary as well as secondary data, have been analyzed and inferences have been made accordingly. Coastal zones of the world are heavily populated and are the primary source of livelihood for large part of world’s population. With climate change, the frequency of occurrence of hazards have increased many fold which destroys the livelihood of the poor people. In this context, the present study analyze at length the existing natural resource degradation process in Bhitarkanika-Rajnagar-Rajkanika Coastal zone and studies the key determinants for livelihood vulnerability and natural resource dependency with a focus on improving the livelihood of the local people.
