Kiran Sankar Chakraborty (b. 1960) took his Master’s degree in Commerce from Calcutta University in 1983. He obtained Ph.D. degree from Tripura University in 1998. He has a PG Diploma in Business Management from Institute of Modern Management, Kolkata. He has worked as Asstt. Professor and Reader in Government Degree College in Tripura since 1985. At present he is Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Agartala Regional Centre. He is also a Guest Faculty in the Department of Commerce, Tripura University. A good number of his research papers and articles have been published in many reputed journals of India. He has contributed many papers in different national and international seminars and conferences. He is associated with a few research projects and is also the author of Anatomy of Overtrading. His areas of interest are accounting and finance, rural marketing, economic issues of North-East India, etc.
